Suddanly Undeniable, Dennie, is finally grown up! She has points in field and in the ring. (Check her out under Recent Wins!) Dennie is the daughter of Mercedes and Ch. Jerlin's Songster. We expect big things from Dennie.
Eagle is one of Andy's sons, out of Suddanly Magnolia Blossom. He's competing well in the ring and on the field. Of course, he can't seem to beat his sister, Sassafras in the field! He has 13 points and will next appear at the BCOA National Specialty. We are very proud of this easy-going young dog and his beautiful floating gait. Red Hat, Suddanly Kadumatsu Ehu Papole is another Andy and Maggie son that we are oh so proud to present. He is now competing in the ring and on the field and doing very well. "Teddy", DC Sunbird Suddanly Stetson, FCh, SC. Teddy is a healthy, active 10 year old and a proven stud. He is definitely the sweetest teddy bear ever. He currently resides in Petersburg,VA, with Terry Ammons. He tested probably clear of Fanconis, and is available to approved ladies. Other health information available on request.
This is Andy, Australian BIS, RUBIS, Gr. Ch. American MBIF Dual Champion Suddanly On The Cover Of GQ, SC, ET. Andy went to Australia as a puppy. Shortly after getting out of quarantine, he became the first brindle Best In Show winner. He is also the only brindle to earn a royal challenge, so far. He has multiple group wins in Australia, and also earned his Endurance Dog title by completing a 10K. When he had done all he could do Down Under, at 7 1/2, he repatriated to the USA and started all over. In about 5 months he had earned his dual championship, in the ring and on the field, with 2 Best in Fields. Although now retired from the field, Andy will still run a course now and then to QC or certify a young rtunner. Andy's children: Sin, Nadra, Breeze, Sassafras, Eagle, and Red Hat can be found in the ring and on the field. Flare and Wrinkle will be out later this year. Check out his new page for current pictures of Andy and his offspring. Andy is available to approved ladies. He will be 12 in December 2011, and is very healthy and active. Health clearences available on request. Tested probably clear of Fanconis.
Ch. Suddanly Sin In a Silk Suit, JC. Sin has been making us proud in the ring and on the field. He is Andy's son, out of Suddanly Dreamcatcher. Sin now lives with his co-breeders, Dr. Susan Harbison and Sean Barnes as well as his mother and sister.
"Mercedes" DC Suddanly Lady Behind D'Wheel, SC, FCh, Merci loves to run and show and play. She the proud mother of Viv, Dennie, Ralee, Griffin, Wrinkle and Flare. At nearly 11 years old, she is the matron of the pack and still loves to course. Mercedes tested Indeterminate for Fanconi Syndrome. This is a status between clear and carrier.
Suddanly Imara's Vivace, Viv to her friends, has been shown and coursed. Viv is Mercedes' daughter sired by PJ's Kenset Back To The Future, incorporating the Esenjo lines into the Suddanly lines. Viv tested Indeterminate for Fanconis. Viv is the mother to Sonny and Ginger. She is almost 5 and we are retiring her. She is available as a sweet, quiet companion and couch potato. Breeze, Suddanly Apex Fresh Air, is really tearing up the coursing field. Another one of Andy's kids that is performing well on the field and in the ring, Breeze is pointed in both venues. this is Dare and I. He's 8 months old in the picture and still growing. He and I have fun training in agility and travelling as chaperone to the basenjis. He's a very fast learner, as is typical for a GSD of his breeding. His registered name is Cliff vom Zioner Berg.

New Additions
Ginger, is the daughter of Red Hat and Viv. She lives with Bill and Mary Sullivan and we expect big things from her in the future.
Flare, Suddanly Incandescent, is the daughter of Mercedes and Andy. She lives with us and the Suddanly Pack.
Anne and David Bach co-own Sonny with us. He is Suddanly Thyme to Shine and will be in the ring and on the field soon. He is out of Viv and Red Hat.
This is Wrinkle. Yeah, I know. That was his puppy name and it stuck. Nothing else makes either of us happy, so Wrinkle it is. He is also known as Suddanly Infra Red. He is a son of Mercedes and Andy and lives with us and the Suddanly Pack.

Welcome to Ginger, Red Hat and Viv's daughter. Ginger lives with her co-owners, Bill and Mary Sullivan and her dad, Red Hat. She will begin her show career this Fall.
Parker, Suddanly Parker Plays The Pops is Viv's brother, out of Merciedes and PJ's Kenset Back to the Future (Marty). He is tested Probably Clear of Fanconis. He lives the good life with his owners, Vince and Dave.
Suddanly Thyme to Shine, Sonny, is owned by David and Anne Bach. As soon as he outgrows this awkward stage, he will be in the ring and he is practicing his coursing. Sonny is the son of Red Hat and Viv, so he is a grandson to Andy and Mercedes, and brother to Ginger. Appearing soon at a show near you!
This is Ralee, Suddanly Apex Unbeatable. She is co-owned with Gary Pickler. Ralee ia a big beautiful girl out of Mercedes and Ch. Jerlin's Songster. Gary and I have decided to find Ralee a forever home. Find out more about her on the Seeking Homes page.

Recent Wins
Wow. Sassafras, daughter of Maggie and Andy, entered her first field trial on Nov.20, the day after her first birthday. And what an amazing start! Sass came away with a 1st in the open class for 20 points towards the 100 needed for her ASFA field championship. Her owners, Anne and David Bach are very proud.
Here we are, Eagle and I, at the SHOT field trial in Williamsburg, VA. What a weekend for Andy's kids. On Saturday, Sassafras took her 1st, followed by Breeze with a 2nd for 15 points and Sin in 4th place. That evening, Eagle certified to run in ASFA trials and Andy helped out running to certify a new friend. On Sunday, Eagle was in first, until on his final run he tried to outthink the lure. But he took 2nd for 15 points to 1/2 sister Breeze, who took first for 20 more points towards her ASFA field championship. Not a bad start for Eagle, 2 days after his 1st birthday. Sin again took a solid 4th. we had a great time and I could not be more proud of my Andy kids.
This is Red Hat, Eagle's brother. Andy is extremely proud of his two sons. They have had a phenomenal start to their show careers. Red Hat took Winners Dog on Sat. at his first show in Greensboro, NC. Then on Sunday, took Best of Winners! He now has 3 points towards his championship. Red Hat is owned by Bill and Mary Sullivan.
News Flash! At the Winston-Salem shows Dec 11 and 12, Red Hat took Winners Dog both days, and Best of Winners on Saturday!
Breeze, Andy's daughter out of Sallie Ann has finally matured and took Winners Bitch on Sunday at the Greensboro, NC shows. Red Hat, her half-brother, beat her for Best of Winners. It was a great day!
News Flash! Breeze took Winners Bitch both Dec 11 and Dec 12 at the shows in Winston-Salem. She took Best of Winners on Sunday, too!
Eagle began his show career with a bang! His first show, he took Reserve Winners Dog in Greenville, SC. The next day, in spite of rubber-necking to watch the setters in the next ring, he took Winners Dog for 2 points, and on Sunday, Eagle beat the girls to take Best of Winners and a four point major!
Wow. Sin takes Winners Dog, three out of the three days in Raleigh,NC. Two of the three days, he crosses over to take Best of Winners, two majors and finishes his championship!
Viv continues her show career with a major win at the Raleigh, NC shows in March.
At the Greensboro, NC shows this past November, Sin took BOB, BOW both days! It was a great weekend! On Saturday, half-sister Breeze, took RWB, also.

Shown at nearly 9, in 2005, this is Savvy. Savvy went to Missouri to chiropractic school with me and kept me sane for almost 4 years. While there, she produced my most "famous" basenji, Andy. I will always miss

"Dance" Karah's Gae Legato, FCh, TT, CGC. My first basenji. Dance was trained in agility, tracking and obedience, too, but she did not care for titles. She would stop performing as soon as we got close to earning the title! She taught me so much. She died 2 weeks short of her 17th birthday and I'll always miss her.
"Vito" The half African #1 ASFA Basenji in 1992. 5 Best inField/Best in Event wins! First brindle to earn an LCM. Founder of our brindle lines.
"Sergio" Suddanly Mysterious Stranger, LCM 9 Best in Field/Best in Event wins. Amazing for a basenji! Sergio is behind most of our present black and white basenjis.
"Chance" Am. Can. Ch. Suddanly Bets Ona Lady's Man, SC, FCh. Father to TC, Lady, Chase, and grandfather to Bella, Sawyer, Chena and Piper. We expect great things out of these kids! Chance now lives in Alberta, Canada. He is producing Canadian champion offspring in the cold North! Good thing he gets to snuggle in bed every night to keep warm!
